ABOUT MARTIN

I’m located in the Maltese Islands, in the beautiful Mediterranean, but I do work world wide. I am a formally trained professional photographer and photojournalist. I have been working around the world since 1992. My work is my passion.

Your Private Photographer and or licensed Tour Guide

Since 1992 one of my specialties has been shooting for private clients.

Whether you are on holidays alone, with your partner or with your family. I can shoot your trip in a photojournalism style on location. All you have to do is enjoy yourself.

Also, you may have a business trip, with a quick turnaround and you would like some great images of yourself on location. I can shoot that for you too which allows you the freedom of enjoying your time whilst I worry about getting your photos for you.

I’m very proud to say that in part, this is one of the services that I received one of my knighthoods for in 2017.

Feel free to use the toggles on the side to see what I do and what services I offer. Come into my site, have a look around and contact me if something interests you.

The journey continues.

Regards,

Martin

WHAT I OFFER

I have been shooting high end interiors for many years. In that time I have shot historical and modern locations but also shop and business openings. It depends on your needs.

When shooting portraits, at times your photo shoot can be planned with creativity and the shooting is great fun. All we need to do is communicate then select the great locations and we hit the road. We work as a team and tailor the photo shoot to suit you. The thing to keep in mind is we can do what you want within reason, it is a matter of coming up with a good, solid working plan first. Your portraits can be personal or business based, or even both if you wish.

Shooting your portraits can be at events or we can shoot them as we move around. This will depend on the type of results that you are looking for. I can advise you on how to achieve the best results to match the outcomes you would like to achieve. If you have any special props you would need to make sure you have them with you to ensure we can get the look that you want.

*Please note, I do not have or keep props and I do not photoshop props into images I shoot. I respectfully ask that if you want something included into your images, you will need to provide that. These are all things that can be discussed before we shoot.

When one thinks of portraits, keep in mind that it can be anything that fits in with you and your job or environment. It can be sport, your favourite hobby, business or some holiday shots of you and your family.

With my extensive commercial photography and photojournalism background, I shoot a lot of events, both big and small.

Events I have shot are for various dignitaries, businesses, meetings big and small, parties and general tourism and parliament.

During your event I can assist with a shooting plan or work in with your existing plans. The important ingredient for you obtaining good results is to make sure I get good access to the right shooting positions.

One of the corner stones of my photographic career has been shooting photojournalism. I can tailor this to your business so you can tell your story via the images that you wish your customers and potential customers to know. You can show what you do and retain the ambiance of your business.

Photojournalism is a style of photography that can work in very well for you if you are visiting Malta for leisure of business. This style of visual story telling is as disciplined and proactive as it is pliable and reactive. I have shot a lot of private work for people in the past which is great for memories whilst on location. If this interests you, contact me and we can work out a visual solution that works for you.

It can easily be argued that Street Photography is a closely related to Photojournalism. Essentially as the name suggest it is style of photography mostly done on the street. This style of photography works in very well with tourism in general. For visitors to Malta and around the world I have used this style of shooting to capture parts of their stay here in the Maltese Islands and abroad.

I have especially used this style blended with events, portraits and photojournalism for private clients internationally for many years who require a flexible shooting style. What ever your needs or requirements are I can work it out for you no problems at all.

As I am a professional photographer, all of my work is also for sale. Granted my prints are not cheep and I make no apology for that, quality costs.

All of my prints are printed on high quality paper. I usually print on fine art paper, but if you are interested I can look at the possibilities to suits you. Some of my works for sale are limited edition.

I’m currently working on what I call my “Special Print Project”. I will have more about this project in the coming months. Conditions will apply for purchase of this works from this project.

For those of you that wish to use images I have shot, contact me and we can work something out.

*Please do not use my work without permission.

If you are someone who is looking for a great fun and unique alternative tourism experience with a difference, come and join me for one of the photo walks I offer. These photo walks have proved to be highly popular as I will take you to the best visual sites on our walk.

The 3 main locations are the baroque city of Valletta, the medieval city of Mdina/Rabat and the Three Cities area (Birgu, Bormla and Senglea).

I have been running photography workshops and photo walks since 2006 internationally. I only take small numbers, a maximum of 5 for any workshop, which will ensure you receive a lot of quality individual attention.

I have more information on my workshops on my Facebook page. It should also be noted that I can totally tailor these workshops for groups or businesses. If you have a group larger than 5 participants, it can easily be arranged but you will need to contact me for us to make those arrangements. In order to attend one of my workshops you must pre-book.

These Journals have taken me many years to develop to look just right. I get the journals hand mounted in Tuscany, Italy. They are quarter leather bound with images of the Maltese Islands on the front and back covers. I also have special images for the inside paste-down pages. These journals are blank for you to write your own story.

It is possible for me to tailor the journals for you personally or for your business. This does cost more and I do have some pretty strict guidelines in order for this to happen, however, they will make you stand out from the crowd.

The journals are quarter leather bound, rib spines with rough cut pages. They are a balance of old world charm with new world technology. This journals are a labour of love for me. I wanted to create something very special and unique.

For now I have not released the journals to the stores or I would need to raise the prices by up to 40%.

You can purchase them directly from me. I only get very small runs made and mostly they go out of my hands very quickly.
